Commander Orlando Iron Wolf is aboard the International Space Station when a blinking light on his computer console alerts him to a fast moving comet headed for a collision with planet Earth.

With no way to stop the impending doomsday, the world descends into panic and anarchy. Massive transport ships are built to colonize the moon, and evacuation of a chosen few begins.

After a shuttle mission to study the approaching comet goes awry, Wolf is forced into cryogenic deep sleep, and the onboard computer assumes control of the ship.

Wolf awakens 50,000 years later to a wildly different earth. Endowed with incredible strength, he finds himself caught in a war between primitive tribes, and his survival depends on Syn, an advanced computer intelligence who has fallen in love with him.

Will Wolf be able to help restore Earth to its past glory or is civilization doomed to fail?

Apocalypse Orphan The Fractured Earth Saga Book 1 eBook Tim Allen

I was given this book for free in exchange for an honest review, so here it is.
While far fetched, this book kept me coming back for more.
The main character, Wolf, wakes up after being cryogenically frozen for 50,000 years. The world he wakes up to is quite strange and he has only his AI named Syn to help him find his place in it.
After being told that he is the fulfillment of a prophesy he finds himself protecting people he comes to care about. But there is an enemy who has weapons comparable to Wolf's and his attacks become more and more dangerous.
The book has an abrupt ending, but I'd definitely like to read the sequel

Apocalypse Orphan The Fractured Earth Saga Book 1 eBook Tim Allen Reviews

Fast reading and enjoyable book. The science is is delirious and the characters a bit infantile, but anyway a liked it . Big hero , lot of women in love with him, always wins, bad guys are very very bad. The plot is interesting , I am waiting for next book. Sorry for my little English, I am Spanish.
This book's premise was what drew me to it, however it seems that everything is just handed to the protagonist. The other characters in this book also seem so bland as if there was no characterization of them as people in their own right, I often found that aside from character specific dialogue I could literally interchange people and could believe that X character said it, in short they lack any flavor. I must also mention that at times the author tells more than he shows which may be okay with other readers however it was not something I particularly liked. Overall its an okay read.
It left me at a bit of a loss where the story might be going. Not bad but did not leave me wanting the next book all that much.
Ok, it's not super deep, but FUN.Overall an A+. A very enjoyable read, reminded me right off of A Princess of Mars, which the author was good enough to allude to. Very masculine and a bit on the fantastic side in that regard (he just Had to lol). It's science fiction fun and the best part is the theoretical science checks out with modern projections.
The 2nd chapter took some commitment to get through but once through it the book developed nicely. A enjoyable read but the story line needs some work and the change of pace needs a little tweeking. This does not mean that it's not a good story or that you shouldn't read it it does mean that the book follow the somewhat typical order of hero saves the day only to have the world about to end tomorrow. Again.

Again, I did enjoy it.
Story started out just fine, depicting the behavior of mankind facing an apocalyptic event. Then we get into really weird made up events where the author is making up the story as he goes along. Story structure is very similar to a junior high students writing.
Glad I got this for free. Would of been mad at myself if I had to pay for it.
The book started out with lots of fun going in. Classic superhuman "I'm invincible routine". It's fun to get behind and think "what incredible thing will he do next?" The downfall was the end of the book. It seemed very rushed and illogical. The main character catches "Superman Syndrom" where he is turned from indestructible to can't-lift-a-finger. Along with that, the super high-tech war machine starship is rendered completely useless by a jammer. Never did she think to raise altitude and rain death on everyone trying to kill her lover. The end has everything I was loving about the book taken away without a real reason I could get behind. Instead of it being a cliffhanger, it's more like a bucket of cold water thrown in your face. So much fun ended so wrong...
